I'll gladly purchase the full handle version for both driver and passenger side.
The factory style that you have to pinch with your fingertips is just an accident waiting to happen IMO.
For the first while it showed 14v on the voltmeter on the dash.
After a few (half dozen) trips i now notice that it drops down somewhat on the gauge after driving for about ten minutes.
Haven't had a chance to get my multimeter on it yet to see accurate readings.
The main thing is- the truck...
Franko, how long has it been since they installed the new battery?
Has everything been okay since the replacement?
(I had mine replaced under warranty about a month ago and so far-so good)
DennisD, are you referring to the original plastic air dam (spoiler)??
If the original poster was referring to the plastic piece below the grille, there is a small bumper available from Nytop. I just had one installed yesterday. It replaces the ribbed plastic valence below the plastic trim that...
@max911 but your truck is good now since the battery change, right?
Yes, it has performed flawlessly.
That includes it firing up after sitting for ten days.
The voltmeter stays at 14V all of the time now.
Crap quality batteries aren't just a Toyota thing.
In the last couple of years I have seen several batteries replaced on our fleet Fords that were less than two years old. In every case it was the battery's fault, not the truck's.
I had my Noco trickle charger on mine overnight. Might have put...
"I drove the truck and the voltage gauge will always remain mid way for a good amount of time (I’m assuming midway is between 14-15v). However it will still drop low after a while, like the system stops charging the battery completely."
TacoFreak- that is exactly what my truck was doing. The...
Just a follow up to my truck getting a new (12v) battery from the Toyota dealership.
Was away for about ten days on a roadtrip in my convertible.
Returned home and the truck fired up perfectly when i tried it this morning.
Voltmeter stays at midpoint (14v) Whereas before it would drop down to...
Some people have wrapped electrical tape around the seat back latch to tighten up that connection.
I did that and it helped a little, but there was still some clicking noise. I think i have it narrowed down to the passenger rear headrest.
Haven't had a chance to secure it better or remove it to...
With the gloss black fenders and trim on your Pro, I'd think gloss or semi gloss black wheels would be fine. Matte black would look like dusty wheels on a clean truck.
Just my 2 cents.
35s on a zero offset wheel?
Color that "aggresive"
I see some trimming in your future. :)
One more note- that...
Sorry, I might have the terminology wrong. The Wescott is a preload collar lift.
No issues so far. It is a little stiffer on expansion cracks, etc.
Not adding heavy wheels and tires helps, I'm sure.
As for longevity, you would want to hear from someone who puts their trucks through more of a...
Sounds like my Phase 1.
Just wanted the truck to look a little "tougher".
