Well, my grab handle arrived and the lower tab is broken off. No visible signs of shipping damage, so kinda frustrating. Have ordered another one, and returning the broken one.
I have the BAK Revolver X4TS...I don't like it. Leaks water everywhere, and makes noise at highway speeds with a crosswind. Also, the T-slot is very limited...basically to one model of cross bar. Regret my purchase
I ordered it...see how she goes. Not sure if the ergonomics will actually work...like I'll have to grab it with my right hand when getting out, which is awkward at best.
I’ve had it sit for 3 weeks without a tender and it was fine, albeit the battery was at 12.1v at the end. I’ve never had the truck not start. Now if I left it outside in -30 temps for a month…I’d probably be concerned about it going dead. But in that case I would assume the traction battery...
Similar situation here. My late production 2024 had the 12v battery replaced by the dealer before I even bought it…I assume it was dead when it arrived on the transport truck. Currently at 1200 miles as well, haven’t had any issues. But I do put a tender on it when the truck sits for extended...
Has anyone notice a change in the behavior of their voltage gauge? I’m wondering if Toyota has issued an OTA update or something because mine is always at this level now…
before it was mostly always below the battery graphic
@maxx075 it's definitely not hard, more of a PIA cause I don't bother to jack up or raise the truck. As for access, you totally can get at the filter from the driver side, above the skid plate
For those wondering about the gauge...you need to change the type so it's one dial in the center
As for Tow/Haul mode charging the battery fully...didn't work for me, other than keeping the engine running full time
Just did my second oil change...really hate removing that TRD skid plate...it's heavy, long, and awkward. Seems almost more of a pain than my old Tundra skid plate - IYKYK !
Has anyone tried changing the oil and filter without removing the TRD skid plate? Obviously would need some type of...
Thanks! So the front badge is just plastic-dipped…easy to pop off and coat it. The rear Tacoma insert letters are from Amazon. It’s black with a red outline
I don’t atm. I believe the difference on the xl is 1/2” extra width on the fronts, and then just added length both fronts and rears. With a 275/70r18 you should be just fine with the regular high clearance
I see that 2025 MY TRD Off road (hybrids) no longer have the SDM available, in Canada. Not sure about the US. But now it’s an exclusive option for the TRD Pro and Trailhunter. Thankfully…my late model 2024 OR Hybrid has it!! Even tho I’ll never use it! ?
No way that camper was 3k. Did a quick search and it looks like this was a Jayco 19H. With the pop out ends, tandem axles…you were towing at least 5,000lbs. Add in your payload, passengers…I’d say you were pushing max capacity of your truck. If there ever was a time to be running 5w30 engine...
703’s, +35, 285/70r17 Wildpeak AT4 SL’s.
I used Autel MX sensors that I programmed to match the factory sensors, and also used the hub centric rings posted in the last pic. Everything fits great. Feels like much larger tires can fit without issue, but who knows. So far I honestly have not...
