2024 Tacoma Limited I-force Max
Spec: '24 Limited Iforcemax

Pros: Power delivery, comfort, better than expected efficiency, Full-Time 4WD (Perfect for PNW where it rains for days/weeks sometimes), tuner friendly, modern technology

Cons: Snug cabin. drivetrain vibrations with the hybrid needs tuning refinement from the factory. cheap skid plates and lack of skid plate coverage. some build quality issues with materials and alignment of panels. cheap factory tires.

9 months gone and the only complaint is the gas tank size needing frequent fill ups, Other than that, I love every bit of my Tacoma and can't trade for anything else.

One year flew by in the blink of an eye. Just hit 10K miles and will be going in to get my 1st FREE oil service this weekend. Being single with no kids or large fur babies, the back seats stay quiet-no complaints of 0 legroom. 😄 Other than the small gas tank (which we've all voiced our opinions about), I really don't have any other complaints.

I've gotta learn to stay off of here a little more...I'm starting to run outta $$$ buying all these mods I want to put into this truck (mental note: need to pace myself, lol). 😅

Overall, I absolutely love my 4th gen Taco-way more than my 2nd gen.

When I roll down the window, If it has rained or I've had a carwash in the previous two days, then the window will be wet when I roll it back up. Does this happen to anyone else? Or do I need to get it check out? I've never had a vehicle do this before.
there are drain plugs at the bottom of the door that sometimes get plugged up & take awhile to drain water away
the door might fill with water

Going on 26 months. Things I don’t like are: gas tank too small- want 400 miles of range. Back seat too small. No air vents in back. No auto touch unlock on rear handles.

I have had two 3rd gen tacomas and still have one, but the 4th gen overall is much improved. I was too impatient to wait on the hybrids but not sure I want to lose that under seat rear storage.

I’ve had mine for almost two years and have 64k miles on it. I love it. The only thing I really don’t like is having to turn to auto start/stop off every time.
So glad I happened to buy a hybrid (used one was the best deal on the lot) because it solves that problem. It was awful on our Hondas. Wife is looking at Grand Highlanders to replace Pilot and I will make sure she gets a hybrid for that reason.

Is there a way to disable them on the hybrids? Cause I've just gotten use to it because the hybrid lets me cruise off the line and it starts the ICE as i'm already moving, makes it more tolerable. If i really need to keep the engine on I can slap it into S, and move the gear limiter up to 8 and drive it around like that.

I don't know if you can disable it. I'm fine with it b/c as you point out, I can roll forward in the drive-thru without the engine rumbling back on (sometimes my Honda would stall out completely on restart). Or put it in Sport--actually the transition is pretty smooth so I usually don't mind.

I'm not at a year yet, 6 months/5k miles, but I'll add that the normal ICE TRD Off Road doesn't have ESS, which is a really nice addition by subtraction.

Other than that, the truck is smooth, zero issues, quiet, hauls gear and what not without issue.

Had mine for 2024 TRD Sport for 2 years now. This is my ninth tacoma I have had every generation This is by far the best driving and looks. Only a couple of issues leg room in the back row, and gas tank size...

1.5 years now. 2024 Off-Road Premium hybrid

Generally love it.
I think the only things I am not thrilled with are:
-Rubber-band feeling on acceleration at low speeds (torque converter tuning I guess?)
-Where's the memory seating?
-The high-speed damping leaves a lot to be desired. It doesn't do well on washboard, for instance.
-I wish I could force into EV mode sometimes or have like a "traffic" mode that reduces how quickly the ICE re-engages.

Mines a 24 TRD Off/Road Hybrid and I just hit 13500 miles. I have no complaints about this truck. I just got back from the longest trip I've took it on since I've had it and I average 23.6 mpg over 1100 miles. Going through a lot of mountains and constructions zones with endless traffic and that hybrid worked like a charm. It's truly great sitting in traffic with the AC on and the truck is off. I was impressed the most about how comfortable the truck is on a long haul. I'm older and I wasn't hurting after that long drive. Toyota knocked it out of the park with this truck in my honest opinion.

@Carolina Buckeye ....23.6 mpg?? For me that's under 10L/100km. Impressive, if true. Were you going downhill both ways?? LOL
No! I get that on regular petrol. This truck does real good. I went from a Z71 to Tacoma, so I'm loving the gas mileage. I do have the hybrid. Sorry if you're not getting that good. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. lol

My 2nd PreRunner - 1st one was a gen 2 - Ive has this truck for 15 months -26k miles. Love this truck. Has more power, tech, safety features, better fuel milage. My only complaints is the fuel tank size, no grab handles driver side, at times at least one access door - its a pain to store anything behind the seats.
