I love the Garmin Power Switch. I had one in my Tundra before I sold it. Of course I removed it and have it sitting in a box. What I need is this great wiring kit!
The height of the tire, say a 35 on an 17-18" rim will remain the same, but the side wall gains an inch on the 17". That said, you will still get rub with either size rim unless the off set is correct and the vehicle lift correct.
17" wheels give lots of tire choices. They also give you ample side wall for on road or off cushion. The extra sidewall also gives you more room to air down.
Got the alignment at the dealer after lifting our other vehicle a 25 4runner. I went to them because they had installed several Westcott lifts already and the vehicle was under warranty.
The clicking noise might depend on the caps internals. BUT, if you install a locking gas cap or an after market the vehicle will throw a code that needs to be cleared every time you start your vehicle. At least that was my experience.
I saw those as well since I'm looking for one also for my SR5 Tacoma and 25 4Runner. The one pictured won't work, one of the reasons is the rectangular switch, ours are square. I am sure there are plug and play front and rear anytime cameras in the works so stay tuned.
Note: there are a lot of...
A wider like a 275 0r 285 will help. BUT, a less of an offset wheel will do the job also to push the wheel out more. A ZERO offset wheel would look good, but don't go negative with the offset.
