There are tons of various brands (including dealership factory brand) A/C vent system spray deodorizers that kill the mold that causes the odor. Check Amazon of any car parts store. Toyota parts may even have a house brand. I had a problem with a Ram of mine a while back. Bought the Mopar spray...
Got rid of those hideous 17" SR5 silver wheels that look like cheap Pep Boys wheel covers and the 245/70-17 tires and had Discount Tire mount 18" TRD takeoffs I picked up cheap and 265/65-18 Continental HT tires. Looks better, rides better and now my speedometer is accurate with the taller tire...
I imagine it would have to do with the efficiency of the engine under various loads vs time. Yes, you're using more fuel when accelerating quickly but accelerating slowly for a much longer period may not be as efficient as quickly for a short time. An example would be that V8 engines are far...
Some organization, I forgot which, did a study on acceleration about ten years ago. They discovered that getting up to speed from a stop slowly actually uses more gas than getting up to speed quickly. Not drag race quickly but a lot faster than lollygagging up to speed.
Just the rubber hoses but it comes as a side specific kit with hardware. If you try to do it yourself you'll void the warranty. Put the following in your search engine for the technical instructions.

Had my rear brake recall done last Wednesday. Made an appointment for opening time. Vehicle was taken right in. Work took two hours. Truck came back unmolested. Fix looks good. They surprised me and I'm satisfied. They also have one of those new A.I. UV vehicle scanners you drive through at the...
I don't know why this is a mystery to so many people when dealing with plastic. I once had the windshield of a Mustang I owned replaced. The plastic cowl panel had six screws. When I got the car back literally five of the six screws were power screwed all the way through the part. Only one screw...
This is why you don't use power tools to put metal screws in plastic parts. Simple as that. There was a technical term for that many years ago. Oh yeah, it was called common sense.
A brand new part will fail if installed incorrectly. They probably over torqued the screws and cracked the shroud. Given that after two full years no one has had a fan shroud issue, I'd suggest having your insurance company get the repair facility to fix it. Maybe even correctly this time. Some...
Thanks. I got a killer deal on some new takeoffs and after buying I read somewhere that the gas models had the same style wheel but 17". So even though I knew all the measurements were the same otherwise, as they say, you don't know what you don't know. So I thought I'd check to make sure there...
Is the rear seat really that far away that a couple properly pointed vents can't send air back there? It's not like the rear seat is in a different zip code. I live in Southern Arizona and the temp is the same all over the interior with A/C on.
Thanks much. Yes I used the photo from JayTech's post. I'm surprised at the price. Usually wheels from a dealership cost four times what aftermarket wheels cost.
Since this is my first Toyota and I don't know the idiosyncrasies of Toyotas, I'll ask. Is there any issue with fitment of these 18 x 8.5 TRD wheels on an SR5 2WD and will the TPMS sensors from the cheapo 17 x 7 base OEM wheel fit? I just noticed Toyota is having a 20% off sale thru the 20th...
Thanks for the info. There's really no way to turn that IBS connector. It also looked as if the strut would come too close or even deform the connector when the hood was closed so I just didn't take the chance. I bought the Redline early in 2025. I don't think the 2024 models had the IBS module...
