I recently used the 12V plug in the bed of my truck and popped the 7.5A fuse immediately. I then used the plug in the cab and it worked just fine with no issue. Does anybody know if the wires for the back plug are too thing to use a 10A fuse?

A reminder that I need to replace mine. After the problem repeated I dug in and found the culprit. The interior plug/port can use higher draw accessories. For example, a compressor I used needs a 10A fuse and doesn't blow that inside the cab.

Since it is equipped with a 7.5 amp fuse, installing anything above it isn't a good idea. You could easily overheat the wiring.
