Hot damn! I want to see what you're going to do with the area behind your seat. Perhaps a doggo platform?

Those seat covers are just some cheap seat covers I bought at Oreilys. Having an xtracab gets you this nice desktop when you pull the seat down but with a seat cover that’s not useful. Behind the seat is a nice long gun box on the truck bed wall and several compartments to store emergency gear like battery recharge, air compressor, sockets and DeWALT impact drill. Also have recovery strap and hard d-ring and the soft ones too.

Rhino Rack installation. I bought the 49” X 76” designed for 4Runner because it was on sale. I had two sets of load bars from Front Runner and took the load bars off and mounted the Rhino Rack on the towers. There are a lot of parts on the Pioneer 5 Rhino rack but it’s very well designed. However the SmartCap roof rack is designed like a trapezoid and makes for a lot of measurements to install the rack. Believe it or not I picked it up with my back to the truck, and two long empty boxes on top and hoisted it on top of them. Then moved them out to land it and torq it down to 6 nm. Rhino Raxk included a sweet torque wrench with a 1/4” connection. I’m mounting a 23Zero 270 6 pole awning on it tomorrow. Stay tuned.

Can you take some pictures from 20-30' and zoomed in please? I'd like to see what the bedcap and rack look like from distance.

Oh no. What now. A 23Zero Peregrine 270 6 pole awning. They said don’t do it. But I did and I got the quick release and longer awning brackets. I like it.

I have so many MODS going on, like a solar panel battery system, seat covers, Acumend Legend 3 camera system, and just now added the NYTOP titanium axle dump exhaust tip. Easy and less than 10 minutes. Out with the old

and in with the new.

Added the Smartcap today. It was not as many have posted on YouTube. The GEN4 has a three piece roof. Be careful with the instructions that show left and right from a top view then everything else is a bottom view which is what you see during assembly. The square inserts help tremendously with lining it up square.

Once assembled we lifted on the truck and the attachment to the body system is much better that the ones in the past. One downside is the GEN4 bed doesn’t have the wiring hole just under the top rail so now you wire the third brake light to the 7 pin with a three way adapter instead of the drivers side taillight.

More to come.
How have you found your smart cap? I have had mine ~4weeks. And it leaks. One rain storm. One snow storm. Even just parked, and water in the bed (few cups worth).

I have not had any leaks. I did have to replace the locks on the side doors with the old locks which RSI sent me with no problems. Water intrusion could be due to the foam tape or at the seams and may need to check the torque on the screws at the seams. I have had zero water intrusion and have experienced a few thunderstorms and a little bitty bit of snow that we get about every 40 years.
