Bought the truck, drove it 40 miles to my friends shop and took the bar off. It is in brand new condition. If you pick it up and would like, I will install it for you real quick. Otherwise I am willing to drive up to two hours in any direction for someone that pays full price.

700 or best offer please.

Just out of curiosity, what do all yall trailhunter guys have against these sport bars? Seems like everyone takes them off. I think they're neat.

I am more than happy to answer.

I will be using the truck for work at least part of the time, so I require a locking bed cover to store my tools and other equipment in.

I also just do not think you can mount enough stuff on it to justify its existence. I would rather have full bed length side racks if I was not going with the locking bed cover.

I’ll chime in…I love mine, have only “temporarily” removed it so I could put on a tonneau cover. The sport bar brackets go over the top edge bed rails and bolt onto the bedside tie down track, conflicting with how most tonneau covers are installed.

The solution is a painful mod to the sport bar to cut off the bracket portion that goes into the track and resort to only bolting to the tonneau cover t-track rail (if the cover has it). Haven’t braved that mod yet but am determined to tackle it.
