Has anyone discovered a work around for the 2026 Tacoma Hybrid. Shutting off a hot engine every time a person stops can’t be good for a hot engine with turbo charger.

Since it's a hybrid, I don't believe there's any way around that feature. I can't remember exactly if there's any trims that are 100% gas with the Auto Start/Stop, but you can get around those systems.
Hybrids are just stuck with that.

I’ve found that if you shift the gear shifter into the “manual” mode, the engine stays on.

Press the tow/haul mode and it keeps the engine from cycling off until it’s turned offz

Not sure but I think I’ll try the to haul method not sure on rh manual way though as this is automatic truck .
The start/stop system on a Toyota Tacoma Hybrid work different than in than the old start/stop non-hybrid systems, In the new Tacoma hybrid the electric motor takes over when the engine stops to provide power and get the car going again. I would not worry about wear and tear on starter, battery or engine , the engineers at Toyota did all that for you already when they designed the truck. I know that there are some companies out there selling start/stop eliminators, I'll stay away from those.
