285/75/17 on Trailhunter

Will 285/75/17's fit on a stock trailhunter without trimming or removing the crash bar. Also no rubbing when flexing? I have 703 methods 35mm offset

The offset might help, but I would wager you are removing your crash bar and mudflaps. I have 285/75/17 +0 on my trailhunter had to remove both.

Had them on now for a bit 0 rubbing didn't remove anything. Been off-roading full flex and turning no rubbing and plenty of room. These trucks really like positive offset. Stock trailhunter wheels are +20mm. I also didn't want poke. Here is a little video not full flex at all but I have had it full a couple times while turning. Truck loves this size tire

Are these wildpeak at3w's? I'm looking to drop down to 17's too. Consider toyo open country at3's but as a 34x10.5r17 load D... they also have 285/70/17 load c but it's heavier LOL. I'm looking at +25mm offset method wheels though. Do you think you'd still clear with +25mm? Also, where did you get hubcentric rings, if you purchased them.

If you went with a thinner tire, would you clear without removing anything? Or was it more your offset that would cause the collision? Funny enough, I've been eyeing the same set of wheel you have, just a different offset so I can keep the crash bar. If I have to remove the crash bar, I might consider going to a 35" tire lol.

285/75R17 was a thin tire. Pizza cutter, so I don’t think a thinner tire would make a difference. I’m sure offset makes more of a difference but I wanted +0 to get flush with the trailhunter flares. I never had lower offset wheels to compare. I’m on 35s now. I wanted a wider tire.

Huh? My 285/75r17 is 11.2" wide. Are you running a 35x12? I figured pizza-cutters would be around stock ~10" wide.

Mine were 11 inches wide and just looked noticeably tall and skinny. I don’t think there is a set definition saying 10 inches or less. It’s just a look that the tires I have. Mine were just tall and skinny.

Are these 285/75/17? Damn, I think I might need 0 offset too then. The stock +20 looks decent - I was worried about dropping 5mm because the wheels I want are either 0 or +25.

No the earlier one is 35s. This is with the 285/75r17. +0 is the better look for me. But everyone has their own opinion. It cleared full articulation.

yeah I follow you instagram! Your tires look more aggressive then mine did. I had toyo open country at3 and they just looked tall and skinny.

Are these with the terra grapplers? I found these in a load C at 60lbs. At the same size, toyo is 58/59 lbs. But toyo has a 34 in a load D that's lighter LOL. It's also slightly smaller at 33.5" vs 33.9" of the 285 variant. I like your setup - I think I'm going to get the 0 offset version.
