4th gen installation of RC AMP electric running board wiring issues

OK, so I just received my AMP Research powerstep from Real Truck to install on my 4th gen Sport. The installation took awhile and then when I got to the part in the manual to connect the OBD plug to the truck's wiring system there is nothing in the install manual that tells or shows you which wire to splice into. It says blue and white wires, but the problem is that there are 5 white wires and several blue ones. Called Real Truck and they were unsure but assumed which two. I tried their suggestion, but didn't work. Now I have to wait for their engineering folks to email be back some day. So, the frustrating part is my truck is all torn apart now and the assume wires appear not to work. Has anyone else done an install yet and has any information on the correct wiring..

Here is a picture of the plug that needs to be tapped. One can see that there are several white wires. I was trying not to have to tap each wire separately to see if that was the correct one.

So, I was able to work out the wiring issue.

For anyone else doing the install I have attached a picture of the correct wiring. Also, be aware that the motors will run backward out of the box and you will need to reverse the two wires going into the plug to get the correct orientation. Hard to say if they will correct this issue.

Do you remember which wires from the OBD Plug connect to the Tacoma's factory plug?

I got the steps and they are Rev. 2 with the Smart Series Module (Bluetooth connection with APP control) I'm going through the instructions on page 9 and the wording on the steps have me confused.

The OBD Plug has 3 wires, White, Blue and Yellow. From what I understand, the Blue wire from the OBD plug taps onto the White wire on pin #20 and the White wire from the OBD plug taps onto the Blue wire on pin #9. Yellow wire connects to the Amp harness Yellow wire. Do I have it right?

Did your wiring bypass the use of the OBD port, or do you still have to use the provided ODB plug?

I still had to use the plug. I have seen where if one wanted you can purchase a Y so you can use the plug for the running boards and still have access for dialogistic. I hope this helps.
