My Guanajuato built 2024 Tacoma has been flawless mechanically but has some quality issues I’d chalk up to Toyota: the paint at inside bottom of tailgate is very thin to not applied over white primer, the left tail light is out 1 cm & dealer has been unable to correct, and lastly cheap plastics inside.

The cheap plastics aren't the fault of the assembly plant though. They can only assemble what the designer, engineers and parts suppliers give them.

Where a consumable tool or consumer product is made in 4 years is not much of a concern of mine when it is also about a generally good company. If anything is a concern with brand tribalism, it would be how common the often unhealthy behavior is.
