So when a text comes in you are saying the audio mutes automatically when the texts are being read? I have a 16 Pro as well (latest Updates) and this doesn't happen. Any special settings?I recently got an iPhone 16 Pro with the latest firmware and found that CarPlay connects much quicker, no drops, music quality over CarPlay has improved, and music mutes properly when texts are read.
If you are using CarPlay connected to your iPhone, and a text comes in, if you are playing music from your iPhone, the sound should mute. If you are playing a non-iPhone music source (FM/AM/SiriusXM, whatever)the sound does not mute, because your iPhone does not have control of that music source through CarPlay to mute it.So when a text comes in you are saying the audio mutes automatically when the texts are being read? Hmm..Ok the volume does lower a little bit but it doesn't mute completely. If you are using CarPlay connected to your iPhone, and a text comes in, if you are playing music from your iPhone, the sound should mute. This makes sense! When I got my new phone a few weeks ago I changed my plan with Verizon and got Apple Music for free. I scrapped Sirius and have been using Apple Music which would explain why music mutes when a text is read. I see said the blind man!If you are using CarPlay connected to your iPhone, and a text comes in, if you are playing music from your iPhone, the sound should mute.
