I had ceramic coating on my car. I think it's worth it. The car stayed cleaner and was easier to clean. You can also use ceramic waxes like Griots 3 in 1. They don't last as long as a proper ceramic coating, but I think the protection is largely the same if you're able to keep the wax coating on there.

I put ceracoat brand in my cars, I like it.

I don’t think it’s worth it for $1500 to have a detailer do it for you, so there’s that.

The claims made by a lot of brands seems like hype to justify price.

I just do an application before winter and top it with chemical brothers wax when I wash it, gets a nice slick AF shine and uv protection (I live in a super sunny place with lots of dust).

My wife’s car looks new and the paint is sparkly after 3 years, which is good. Doesn’t take long for clear coats to get roasted here.

Oh boy here we go again. Diode Dynamics vs Baja Designs. KO3's vs AT4's, Michelin vs Pirelli.

You are going to get the fans of it all telling you it is the best ever. You are going to get the people against it to tell you it is a waste of money.

Just flip a coin and do that.

I had the Turtle Wax inexpensive product suggested and have been impressed for DIY. It might not be for some sort of perfectionist but it is better than conventional wax. It makes washing easier. It works on black and clear plastic and the wheels.

I ceramic coat all my vehicles myself. I used to pay my detailer $1500+ to do the GTechniq Crystal Serum Ultra until he slipped to me one day and said their Crystal Serum Light + Exo V5 coating kit worked 85-90% as well as the CS Ultra. He was going to charge me $850 to apply it, then I looked at the Gtechniq website and found that I could order it and do it myself. The kit is less than $200 + an initial investment in microfbers, etc. More than worth it. I have done 5 vehicles myself, it's not hard at all.

I swear by the Gtechniq products. I've been using them/had them applied for years. Everything works together and makes washing a breeze. They put a crazy amount of money in R&D and are always improving product.

My truck looks good clean and with winters like we're having here in PA I appreciate how easy it is to get it there.
