Display Brightness on Infotainment System Switches On & Off

I know how to dim the brightness on the infotainment system but at dusk when driving & the headlights come on, the infotainment system display will switch back & forth from bright to dim multiple times when driving thru dark & bright areas on my drive home. How do you keep it from switching back & forth? I apologize if this has been discussed before.

Throw a ball cap onto the dash sensor.

That is what I was looking for because putting anything over the sensor will keep the screen dark.

I think its Settings>Display>Screen> Turn off "automatic"

I turned it off and it still switches between light and dark modes with lights on when driving around dusk and dawn. Really frustrating it won't just stay on daylight since I have that mode selected as well.

Weird, I have mine set to dark mode all the time.
