Kind of sounds like lugging but shouldn't be lugging at 2k rpm

I had mine at the dealership for hours yesterday. Mine has an obvious drone/vibration when accelerating through 2000 rpms until about 2500 rpms. It only does it when it’s warm and in motion. They are baffled. The only thing they noticed was a correlation between the waste gate opening/closing to the drone starting and stopping.

I have one of the axle dump exhaust tips. We decided to put the factory tailpipe with resonator back on to see if that changes anything. Then take it back if it still makes the droning sound.

And we have a solution to my droning/vibration. It took my dealership three different techs to find the issue. We all thought it had to be differential related.

I had a drone/vibration between 2000 and 2500 RPMs, when accelerating and decelerating.

The culprit…the fake engine noise. Which I thought I had turned off. But they said it was on and my issue is gone after they turned it off again.

Does my SR have this option? If it does I need to turn it on. It gets tiring making rumbling and blow off valve noises all the time. My throat gets dry. 😩

Damn. Could see myself doing this.
I love my SR5 šŸ˜‚
It sounded so real and mechanical!

I honestly don’t know. It sounds like a normal thing they turn off for customers. If I had to guess I bet they call have it. I used the Carista OBD2 scanner and app during a trial to turn it off originally. But somehow it turned itself back on.

I'll look. But I guessing the SR doesn't have it. From the cabin, my engine very quiet, save a little turbo whistle. From the outside, it's got a fairly throaty exhaust sound, especially during cold idle. But the engine itself can be a little busy sounding. But that's been the case for every Dynamic Force engine I have experienced. I have 3 others in the family...all M20s. They're busy sounding.
