I have a '25 TRD Off-road hybrid. My dad is getting older and has recently stopped driving. I just towed his old Mustang from his house about 500 miles to my house. My trailer is probably 1,500lbs or so and Google says a FoxBody GT convertible is about 3,300lbs. So about 5,000lbs fully loaded. I previously towed with a diesel Excursion, so I was expecting the Tacoma to be a pretty big step down.
However, I was very pleasantly surprised. Power was more than adequate and I had no handling issues. I averaged about 14.5mpg at 65-70mph. Very impressed.
