did you find your temp vin listed in the toyota inventory search or from the dealer? The temp vin has the production week in it after the last letter. After that week it gets a real vin

you touched on something with the temp vins i haven't heard before. i was given a temp vin when i put a deposit a few weeks ago and was told it was built 1/9 and expected delivery 1/22-2/12 which we are coming up on in a few days. last update was it is "processing" with no holds. the temp vin is interesting to me because it shows that the truck shouldn't even be built yet according to the last 6. i would expect that it would have a real vin by now but the temp vin is still valid in the online toyota tracker. not sure if you know, but is this the reason for this because it was built weeks early(not sure how typical this is) and the vin doesn't switch over in the system until the planned production date has been reached?
