Anyone else find a GPS tracker daisy on the OBD2. We were having a hard time using the Toyita app on our 2 new Tacos and found these things. Unolugged and boom now they work. WTF, dealer? Toyota?

@1161YUT Are your Tacos leased? Sometimes the lease companies put those on so they can keep track of their property. If they belong to you I think you are owed an explanation about who installed them and who is tracking your truck. My truck is clean and I would guess those were installed by the selling dealer.

Definitely the dealer. This brings up some interesting scenarios. Once the tracking information stops being received, will the entity receiving it reach out to find out why? It was installed for a reason, right? That would mean admitting to installing a possibly illegal device in your vehicle without your knowledge or consent.

Or, if it’s questioned, you could claim you know nothing about the device, which would force them to explain the whole situation.
