A little cut & sew job during the heat of the day last couple weeks. Hardest part was convincing the wife I wouldn’t screw up her sewing machine
I used a cheapy Amazon “SUV cover”, winged it, figured I could return it if it wasn’t wide enough. Wanted some* degree of flock in the cover for small sized hail, could always add ~1/4” neoprene sheet underneath the cover on the high alert days. On top of that we have these giant basswood trees over the driveway that dump flowers and pods all fking year and then leaves for 2 months in October. A cover helps keep it out of the windshield grate; just take the leaf blower in the morning and nuke that crap back on the yard..
Used almost all of the cover material in the order, looking for a few yards more or just plain UV sheet to finish it, but yea this adds some peace of mind and preserves the paint dead of summer we live at ~5,200’+, similar altitude and UV in the UT desert where I frequent. No brainer. For the guys who have their rig height unable to garage it….
