So now that’s it’s getting cooler I’ve been turning on my heater and whenever the heater is on the air seems to come out of the vents a lot more weak when compared to the AC. I noticed this especially when it’s on full fan speed. Doesn’t change if I start it up cold or if I’ve been driving for awhile. I actually went to the dealer and tested a new Tacoma on the lot and it did the same thing. I bet Toyota engineered this for some safety mechanism but it seems odd. Anybody else notice the same thing?

Are you noticing the difference between recirculate for A/C and no recirc for heat? It will make a difference in both sound and flow. Normally heat doesn't run in recirc mode which may be why you are experiencing this.

I noticed the same phenomenon if I try to control the temperature manually. If I hit auto and wind it up to 80, it's blowing heat most rikki tik at a high flow, & I'm having to turn it down before long. I have no idea why it doesn't blow as hard when trying to control it manually. You can turn it up full blast and the fan is getting with it but there's not much airflow. It's not that way on auto. Dunno. 🤷‍♂️
