So it took me about 11 hours to install it yesterday-last night. Ran into problem after problem but in the end it turned out nice. I may tweak it some as far as some of the sensor bezels but that’s about it. I had to relocate what I’m guessing is a pedestrian sensor which ADD knew nothing about and I had to step drill out the outside parking sensors they were 1mm bigger than the hole they had. On top of that I broke one of the sensor clips/housing. So I used expoy to permanently attach the sensor to the housing. Overall I’m very happy with it. With out further adieu here’s the photos

Ordered this a few weeks ago and it just showed up along with two DV8 lights that were supposed to be compatible. I don’t see any brackets to install these lights behind the opening. They are surface mount so I guess I’ll be getting my grinder out to increase hole size.

What lights did you get? Did the lights come with brackets?

Hoping my install goes a little easier.

Sorry just saw this tonight man I have been super busy with work and doing things at home. I just got the 3” harbor freight pod lights the flood light style. From what I remember they went in smoothly compared to everything else. I had terrible sensor issues. PM me and send me your email and I’ll forward you everything I went through with their customer support. First I’d suggest not spray painting the BSM sensors. Get someone to vinyl wrapped them. I spray painted mine and that could be my issue with them not working. The parking sensors pay careful attention to the orientation they are in now. Take pictures and notice if the have a slight upward or downward angle specially the middle two. Seems like the need to be slightly angled up to correct the downward angle of the bumper. And if you notice in they’re instructions they have them installed on an about a 45 degree angle. (Which is incorrect) Also the foam tape they have is terrible. I recommend using super glue and gluing them on in the correct orientation with the clips cleaned perfectly with no double sided tape residue. I would install the two outside ones first before you install the bumper (parking sensor) paying attention to the angle. I had to use a step bit to widen the hole as it was a mm to small. Save the middle 2 for after the bumper install. You’ll have trouble installing them correctly before hand because of how the wire harness on the sensors is cramped with the bumper. Also I had to install them with the harness on in order for it to work. Please use blue tape and tape off the sensors and around the outside because the likely hood of you smearing superglue while doing all this is highly likely. Another pro tip is last of all to do is to install the license plate light. It will get in the way of installing the right middle sensor. Best of luck let me know how everything works out. Hopefully my pain will save you. Because I endured a lot with the sensors. Let me see if I have the photos and I’ll upload them

Thanks for the info. Didn't realize that the parking sensors would be so finicky - I have after market bumpers on my RAM and those were no problem. Maybe more of a Toyota thing. Great suggestion on the BSM sensors - I'll look at ordering some vinyl wrap. I have the ADD front bumper too - hopefully it's an easier install than the rear is.

I don't actually have my truck yet - still "In Transit" after ordering from the dealer. Just trying to do what I can now before it arrives. I have a shop full of parts waiting.

I went ahead and made the DV8 lights work. Cut a larger hole - I don't know why they were advertised as being a compatible light as there is no way to mount them behind the existing hole and obviously cutting is required to install as a surface mount like I did. Either way I think the end result looks good.

@PeceKeepr quick question. Prior to the install did you disconnect the battery? From some reading regarding front bumper installs it should be disconnected to prevent sensor issues. Just curious if it might have had any role in your problems if it was not disconnected.

I mean it’s possible and in hindsight I would have done it. The reason I didn’t was just being lazy I have the hybrid and I didn’t feel like opening up the back seat lol. The funny thing is I’ve undone the battery about 5 times since trying to reset the ecu and get the sensors to work. Toyota wouldn’t even look at it. But I know a place that will. It’s just been a low priority for me at the moment
