Towed a 2003 Honda Element with the back of truck and backseat completely packed with as many clothes and blankets possible.
She pulled and run like a dream.
Was roughly 250 miles total
1st 12 miles was 50mph and was blowing my mind @ 22mpg avg, and truly felt like I had a tiny trailer and lawnmower, just didn't know it had a load.
Next 50 miles was 62mph and was still averaging over 19 mpg.
Then mostly 70mph after that with a few rolling hills (Arkansas).
Dropped off our load with average of 17.5 mpg.
Gassed up in Little Rock (rush hour) and took off flowing with the fast lane North on I-40 @ 82 to 87 mph for about 35 miles averaging over 19mpg. @ 23k miles have never ran it that fast on highway and was very impressed.
Then slowed to 77 for another 25 miles and then off the beaten trail @ variable speeds of 45 to 70 for another 20 miles and ended @ 20.2 mpg.
Wouldn't flinch @ pulling 6k to Canada, as VERY impressed with power stability (would not know it was pulling anything, if not seeing it in mirror) and miliage.
PS
Uhaul tow dolly and around 800 lbs empty.
Was actually on the fence about using the Tacoma or the F150/5.0 but decided it was a good time to find out what Tacoma could do....
