You should have just asked for replacement rubber inserts. The factory blades normally would not need to be changed, just the rubber part. It would have been about $15 for both sides but they wanted to sell you the more expensive option I guess.
I went to the dealer and got them yesterday. They wanted $30 for the pair. I mentioned they are $20 online on their web site so he knocked 20% off. The parts guy was not familiar with the part numbers I supplied and muttered something about not looking like they were in stock when he was on the computer. He said he'd have someone look for them. About 20 minutes later the girl showed up with them so I think they have them hidden somewhere and not typically sold to walk in customers. Now I just have to figure out how to change them. Looks like a tab inside the plastic end that you push on to release. I need to change them before Safelite comes to replace my windshield tomorrow. I was out on a local 55 mph highway today doing a speed in excess of that and I was being passed like I was standing still. And somehow on the same patch of divided highway I got several rock chips when I was on both directions. One cracked a lot. Not a mark on the bumper cover or hood so now I'm wondering if someone was in the brush with a bb gun being funny.

My local parts department sucks! After reading this tread, I decided I should order a set of wiper inserts. Mine are still doing fine and nearly 2 years old. I checked online and found a set for $17 current sale price. I text my local dealer, with part numbers, to have them send me a quote for a set. They replied back with back with the wiper blade part numbers and $75. I replied back that I wanted just the inserts and they said they no longer carry just the inserts and that they would be a special order and cost would be $35. I told them no thanks, I'll order online. I could have purchased online and had them shipped for that about that same price part $17, shipping $17.
I ordered them from Elmhurst Toyota in Chicago $17 and had my brother-in-law pick them up just down the street from him. He's on his way down for July 4th weekend. Sweet!
I picked up my skid plate from them a few month ago while it was on sale.
