Just a data point… lots of research later, ended up with 275/70r-18 Nitto Terra Graper G3 tires. This is a true 33”, actually 33.2”, tire, so slightly taller than the 285/65-18 Falkens that were stock on these wheels. These are SL load and weigh 45-46lbs. Out the door, $1237 with military discount.

Initial ride is very positive - smooth and very quiet. A couple of pics below.

I'll be curious on your thoughts on this tire over time. I'm seriously considering putting these on my TRD Pro after the OE tires either wear out or I get tired of them:) I feel like the factory tires don't ride very well but that could just be me as this is the first truck I have driven on a daily basis.

I installed a set of 275/70/17 G3’s a few months ago. This tire is an evolution of the prior G2.

I’m very pleased with my G3 E load tire choice. So many great tires currently on the market to choose from.

I took a couple of hours researching the competition before making my decision. The tires are very quiet on the freeway.

If you don't mind me asking, in what way don't you think they ride well? I have the 25' Pro and I couldn't be more happier with the performance of these tires. Although, now you guys have me curious about Grappler G3!!!! Just curious.

Highway ride is excellent and the noise is minimal, if not noticeable at all.

It might just be me but it seems like I feel all the little small little cracks and bumps in the road but it does great over the bigger bumps and pot holes. I am coming from a sedan and an SUV so I shouldn't be expecting it to ride like them. I have the OE tires set at 29 PSI and the shocks set at #1 which should be the softest setting. Just wondering if it's the tires or something else. I also wonder if the suspension just needs to "break in" or not.

Looks good on those Tundra rims.... What kind of mud flaps are you using..Those look like they leave room to spare...
