OEM Rock Rails vs. aftermarket rock rails?

Has anyone tried the OEM rock rails ( PT738-35244 ) and compared them to the after market ones? Looks like you can get a pair of the OEM rock rails for about $800 shipped, which puts them quite a bit under aftermarket ones, but I'm not seeing anyone who has actually bought and installed them. It's not even clear if the OEM version comes with the hardware necessary, since there's obscurely named "hardware kit" that seems to be related to this, but no description. No install info online either to see if it is possible without some odd procedure or tools.

the OEM Rock rails come with hardware. It uses 11 bolts on each side. I just I stalled them this past weekend.
They weight about, I’d say 45pounds each. I was able to carry one in each hand down to my truck when installing them.
I sourced the hardware from World Toyota and a local dealership here in AZ. I was only able to get 10 from a GA location and the rest from a local dealer here.

Rock rails I doubt will help with rock chips. Maybe if the rocks actually hit the rails, yes.
