Has anyone had to replace their windshield? I'm wondering what it cost to replace with OEM windshield at a dealer. I wouldn't be paying for it myself so I prefer OEM to Safelite, etc

Why OEM? Log into Safelite and enter your info and it'll tell you exactly how much it costs.

FWIW, if you have Progressive insurance, it may have a $100 deductible for windshield replace....I used it on my Prius a few years ago and Safelite did a great job on that high-tech windshield stuff. (Recalibrating the sensors, etc.)

OEM because the person that broke it has to pay for the new one so I'd prefer it to safelite.

The company that does mine (American Eagle Auto Glass) sources the OEM windshield from the local Toyota dealer, then does all the work. Never had a problem with them. Have had several FJ Cruisers and a couple RAV4s done. They did the calibration on the RAV4 after install as well.
