I just want my lower trim brethren who are looking to upgrade their rigs with take-off parts to be aware of a couple things:
#1 There are a number of examples of the TRD Off Road shocks completely failing at relatively low mileage. Same with the Bronco's Bilsteins.
#2 The shocks themselves are inexpensive. If you want to run them for some reason, find the part numbers, log in to your Toyota account, and run the numbers through a dealer who offers discounts + free shipping + participates in ongoing sales (like Serra Toyota).
Also keep in mind that you will get no lift by swapping the suspension as the additional height of the OR off the lot is just from the larger tires. And there is nothing different or special about the UCA that comes on the TRD Off Road.
Below is an example of a rear TRD shock assembly delivered new. No need to overpay for these parts used on any marketplace.
Cheers.
