I just got my Tacoma about a week ago and ordered those same EKR seat covers. Honestly for $200 I’m not sure you can beat them. I’ll keep you posted how they hold up like I said it’s only been a week so far, but they look as if they came with the truck. The pics in the dark are the night I installed them. Rest are about a week later. The only thing that isn’t great is the center console cover as it just isn’t cut as nicely and is held on by elastic. But it’ll suffice.

Thanks man. One tip I’d recommend to anyone going to install these is when doing the front seats do the bottoms first. One of the YouTube videos I watched he did the tops first and it is a bitch trying to pull that bottom through nice, evenly, and tight after the top has already been pulled through. Also just continue to adjust the seat backrest throughout the process from all way forward to laying flat (a must when trying to unhook/rehook factory elastic bands underneath the seat) and the process is a breeze.

I ordered and received the EKRcovers through Amazon. They came and were very nice but did not fit. I have an SR5 extended cab, not a 4 door. Basically a 2 door and the Amazon package was just the front seats and labeled SR5 front.. I am not sure but I am beginning to think my truck is a mutt. Neither front seat matches the EKR installation videos and neither seat matches the other. The passenger and drivers seats are mechanically different. The passengers seat has the backrest fold about 2 inches higher than the bottom and the bottom curves up to meet it. This prevents the backrest part from being tight. It’s full of wrinkles and is no where near tight. I even have about 1 inch of air space in the head rest area. The drivers seat matches the video but the backrest comes down and then folds under and attaches to the center of the bottom. This piece that folds under is reinforced with a plastic sheet. This prevents you from sliding the backrest portion from front to back. It would need to wrap around this plastic section and it’s just not long enough. It would be doing a big S turn.
As I say I think my truck is a mutt,, it seems like it was just built with spare parts to get it out of the factory. Has anyone else noticed a difference between their front seats?
