2024 Tacoma SEMA 2025 - From The Floor to The Street: What Mods & Features Are Worth Pulling Into Your Build? 1762536634110-3n

Every year, SEMA sets the tone for what’s next in the truck and off-road world — and 2025 was no different. This year, we spotted a ton of awesome Tacomas on the floor, from wild concept builds to production-ready aftermarket setups that anyone could get behind.

From overland rigs built for adventure to performance-focused street trucks, the Tacoma had a strong showing, and it’s clear the platform is getting more attention than ever from builders and manufacturers.

As always, the Panda Motorworks crew was on the ground taking it all in — checking out the builds, talking with brands, and getting a feel for what’s coming next for Tacoma owners.

Now we’re bringing that insight straight to you 👇

Over the next few posts, we’ll be breaking down the Tacomas we saw at SEMA — complete with photos, specs, and mod lists. Jump into the comments and let us know what you’re into, what you’re not, and which builds stood out the most.

This one’s easily my personal favorite from SEMA 2025. It’s the kind of Tacoma that nails that perfect balance between a comfortable daily and a capable weekend warrior.

From the upgraded lighting setup that gives it an aggressive, functional look to the Westin cap cover that ties the whole build together, every piece feels thoughtfully chosen. Add in the upcoming KONI Explorer shocks for the lift, and you’ve got a rig that’s ready to handle anything—daily commutes, trail runs, or weekend camping trips.

It’s a clean, well-rounded setup that really shows what’s possible when you mix smart parts with solid execution. No fluff, just a purpose-built Tacoma that performs.

The Go Rhino Dominator boards have been out for a long time. I don't know if anything has changed but I've had them since April of '24. They were one of the first mods to my truck. I love them but they won't be for everyone.

For one thing, they stick out a long way (hence the name "D6"). The positive to that is that you will never get a door ding and they really do protect the side of the truck from rock chips. If you don't have more aggressive wheels than stock though they'd probably look silly. My Method wheels are a +35 and the boards are ever so slightly wider than the wheels. A +25 wheel and everything would probably be perfectly flush.

They are NOT sliders, they're simply running boards and won't support more than three or four hundred pounds. I have the rocker mount. I don't believe the frame mount was available when I bought mine but I personally wouldn't spend the extra money for the frame mount. Having the frame mount isn't going to magically turn them into sliders and they're plenty stout for jumping up and down on as is...

After a year and a half mine still look great but the paint has chipped off a bit on the front underside. Form the top they still look brand new. So far, zero rust though and I'll probably just leave them as is for a few more years and eventually upgrade to full sliders.

You'll see lots of complaints about installation but I did the install by myself in the driveway, about 45 minutes per side, with no issues.

In the meantime though, I'm very happy with them. Go Rhino also makes several other versions (narrower and whatnot).

Thanks for the detailed feedback! This is exactly the kind of real world insight people appreciate hearing! Totally agree that the D6s stick out quite a bit, but that’s also one of their biggest perks for protection and style when paired with the right offset. Glad to hear they’ve held up well over time and that install wasn’t too bad either. Sounds like Go Rhino nailed the balance between function and durability with these. Appreciate you sharing your experience!

Here is the Tacoma that was displays at ARB's booth. Decked out in ARB parts of course. Some of these parts are available right now, but most were teasers of what is coming soon!

Now that looks like an ARB front bumper. Much better than that other abomination.
