Following on to these accurate comments, your driving operation is also stored on the vehicle’s internal computer. In the event of a serious accident, the police and insurance companies can access driver behavior immediately before an accident. Big Brother is always watching unfortunately.I used to work in insurance and it might help that you know that your driving habits aren't the reason premiums go up or down. Companies take a holistic look at the people in your age and gender demographic. That's how they set premiums. Yes, I do think there is some price gouging involved but that's why it's important to shop around when premiums go up. I think it’s a damn shame that Toyota will make this feature subscription based when Ford has a similar feature for free. Shame on Toyota for this grift. I’m not buying it. I’ll continue to enjoy Apple CarPlay.I think at the end of the day, anybody willing to pay Toyota $15/mo for their goon app, they're doing so for remote start and lock/unlock capability. nice to know you can get an insurance discount though.
Yes, and the FordPass app works great. Zero cost. (my wife has a Bronco Sport)I think it’s a damn shame that Toyota will make this feature subscription based when Ford has a similar feature for free. Shame on Toyota for this grift. I’m not buying it. I’ll continue to enjoy Apple CarPlay.
