Spare tire marks undercarriage

I just got some new tires and I’m running a fifth full-size spare with rim. I noticed the original spare had markings from the frame in the undercarriage. Has anyone come up with anything to avoid markings on the tire that sits under the bed or have any ideas?

Every truck I've owned of any brand with underbed spare has left marks of some shape on the spare tire. I suppose placing a cushioning material between those friction points would prevent that.

I’ve been trying to figure out what cushioning material to use. I have noticed there are little holes where the tire rubs on. I wonder if I plugged this with rubber grommets if that would improve at all.

That sounds like a good idea. I would spray some Armor All or the like on them so they don't stick to the tire when you drop the tire. Lacking that maybe some type of non absorbent foam material.

Samesies. Had a full size spare under there for a couple weeks and same deal was happening. I went with a Dirtcom.
