I'm interested in getting a lift kit for my 2026 TRD Sport. The truck is mostly road driven. My main desire is comfort. Not necessarily old buick like softness, but better capability of handling the kinds of bumps and road issues you encounter in daily life. I used to have an IS500, and that car handled bad road conditions well while still having a sporty ride.

I've looked at the factory lift kit, but it sounds like comfort wise it's very close to stock. Other kits I've looked at are Elka (I'm in Canada so they seem like a good pick in terms of winter use and serviceability), Fox, King and Bilsteins.

It'd be awesome to learn what you find. I'm probably going for the TRD lift when it starts selling for my truck because I think it looks sick, but it'd be cool to see if there is a more street oriented option as well that also gives a lift.

Aside from just staying with the stock Sport suspension, an upgraded street oriented suspension would probably be more practical for me and for most who stay on the pavement. Would be cool to have more options than just offroad focused stuff.

Have you ever ridden in a crown signia? The dealership salesmen was explaining it's basically a Lexus ride quality, and I'd imagine probably similar to the quality of your is500. It was mind blowing to me. How can it be soft at times to eat all the bumps in the road, but also stiff enough at times to be able to corner really well and have great handling, all while riding on 21 inch rims with only like 2 inches of tire sidewall and being like 4000+ lbs?

Made me think there's gotta be a way to make the Tacoma ride better. Maybe the Limited's AVS or the Fox live valve system is the answer, but I can't say for sure without trying them myself.

As of right now I'm definitely lifting my shit, though. Please let us know if you what you find!
