Tacoma Lifestyle - BEWARE!

I ordered windshield wipers on May 24 and my credit card was charged on that date. Today, May 30 USPS lists the package as only label created but not in their system yet. I called Tacoma Lifestyle today and was told that the package was picked up by the post office but sometimes they don’t scan it. However, in checking the order status on the Tacoma Lifestyle site the only entry is May 28 Preparing for shipping. It does not even show on their site as shipped! I was told to wait one or two business days and it should show up in the USPS system. I remained polite throughout the call and barely got less than a halfhearted apology for the delay. A mildly friendly response from them would have made this better. What will be at least two weeks to get a product is unacceptable. The whole experience is not cool!

yeah they drop ship from other vendors & mfgers
I got the same run around 2 weeks later i got my item . Got that same lie
i google search any item they sell to find the real vendors
ya know i do not mind drop shipping IF the vendor is up front that a item is not actually in their stock

I personally avoid all these fake storefront aggregators. They make nothing, store nothing, and ship nothing personally. Sometimes they’ll slap their logo on things with stickers or have small merch. They probably get a small kickback from the original vendors. They’re just brand influencers. Treat them as such, and not a reliable storefront. Buy from the actual vendors. It’s all the same price.

edit - I stand corrected. I think Tacoma Lifestyle actually does have a warehouse in Utah so they may actually be a legit reseller. Guess you’re just experiencing good old fashion bad customer service.

Well lesson learned by me. That sad part is a little customer service would have fixed this.

they do both ,stock self branded logo stuff like their own tee's & rest is dropped shipped from outside vendors.

I get things happen, but they could have been more forthcoming with me and their customer service response only made matters worse. I’m sure they monitor sites like this, let’s see if they jump in here.

Thanks for the information. I visited this site but haven’t purchased anything from them yet.

I experienced similar the one time that I ordered from them. Demanded a refund and never tried them again.

I ordered a screen protector from them. And it got lost in the mail. ?

I just checked their site today and it shows still not shipped after a week! The Taco culture is a cool group of people, it’s a shame there are BS operations like Tacoma Lifestyle!

I’ve personally been to the Tacoma lifestyle HQ in Orem Utah. They have a meet and greet once a month and they stock plenty of stuff on site. The showroom is puny compared to the warehouse behind it. They are regular guys who happen to make money off something that they enjoy, which I imagine can be challenging at times. It would make sense that certain items would be drop shipped as that would be most practical. They aren’t some hub for some obscure Chinese company that runs 1000 different stores. Just an fyi

I'm just a regular guy trying to buy mods that don't show up and then have to go through 2 months of waiting to get my money back.

And then when you call them they try to blame it on the post office and say it must not have been scanned. Couple of problems with that: their own site says not shipped and after a week if the post office had it, then it would have been scanned at the next facility down the line. A mistake or shipping delay is one thing, sh&t happens, bad customer service is another. A simple “we screwed up and apologize, how can we make this right” would have gone a long way.
