Thanks for bringing this up. We also wanted to clarify one point regarding the Auxchemic® name.

To be clear, we have never claimed that the product itself is patented. What we have done is register the Auxchemic® trademark as our own brand technology name.

The purpose of the Auxchemic® name is to identify our proprietary coating process and product line. The focus has always been on the actual performance benefits — corrosion resistance, abrasion protection, and durability for real truck use — rather than making claims about a product patent.

The coating process is also designed with environmental considerations in mind, including RoHS compliance and restricted hazardous substance requirements. We have additionally completed internal durability validation, including a 600-hour salt spray test with no visible rust based on our testing materials.

We appreciate the Tacoma4G community asking detailed questions. Transparency and honest feedback are exactly why we enjoy being part of this community.

I have yet to see a single post explaining what Auxchemic™ is or how that's any different than any other powder coating or bed liner. I've seen things that suggest it's textured rather than smooth, but that's it. How does it prevent rust? The name suggests that it uses one or more pretreatments like zinc phosphate but doesn't actually say what it uses. Any quality powder coating already passes ASTM B117 (which specifies 500 hours at a specific temperature, pH range, and salinity); 600 hours at an unknown salinity and pH gives less info than saying it passes ASTM B117.
