i know this must vary a bit around the country, but I have developed a rating system for various trims available in my neck of the woods (Alaska). I would be curious to hear how it shakes out in other places.

Trail Hunter “Bigfoot.” Rumor has it that there are a few around, but good luck seeing one.
TRD Pro “Yeti.” Basically the same as Bigfoot
Xtracab “Unicorn.” There appears to be one in the state (mine that I imported from the lower 48)
PreRunner “Lochness Monster.” None have been seen and any photos look like fakes.

I guess whoever does allocations for Alaska decided double cabs only, and few if any halo trims. Do people in the rest of the country have trouble getting any of these rarer trims?

It's getting to the point that you can't throw a rock without hitting a 4th Gen around here. Admittedly very few have this little badge. And the Xtracab is definitely a Unicorn in these parts.

I'd imagine it's very market dependent.

Checking Toyota.com 2025 model inventory in 50 mile radius of a north Atlanta zipcode, the available models are:
  • 20 Trailhunters (16 of which are in-transit)
  • 24 Pro's (20 of which are in-transit)
  • 30 SR XtraCab's (25 of which are in-transit)
  • PreRunner - have to go to 100mi radius to find 1 available
I'm definitely seeing more and more 4th gens in the wild, though still tons of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gens on the roads. One of the benefits of very rare road salt (brine) usage.

Yep, I see a lot of 4g as well in San Diego. Finally saw another one in Terra which was cool, we had a little moment.

I also see very few TH, pro, and hybrid.
