I just put a deposit down for a 2026 Tacoma TRD-Off-road! I’m looking for your best solutions for a truck cover to help protect against hail. I park outside so I’m looking to prevent damage.
Do a search for hail proof truck covers. There are several out there. Probably better than nothing. When I had to park my Dodge Challenger R/T at work during what we laughably call the "monsoon" here in Southern AZ, I bought a roll of dense rubber foam and cut pieces for the hood, roof and trunk and put a car cover over that. Challenger sheet metal is paper thin and even the smallest hail would dent it. Should be a lot easier with a truck since it's slightly thicker sheet metal and all you really need to protect is the hood and roof. So one of those supposedly hail proof covers with a couple strategically placed 1/4" foam rubber sheets should do the trick. If all else fails, do some research of review sites and find yourself a really good PDR tech.
