I was contacted by TRUMGETA to provide an honest review for a few of their products. First product delivered was the TRUMGETA 5FT Side Bed Molle Panel for Tacoma 2024-2025+ (2Pcs). I'll cut to the chase and give me first impression. They... look... FANTASTIC! I've been looking to add some panels to my truck for a while so this met a want that I had.
Now for the review part. I'll start by saying the instructions were mostly very clear and concise. The few parts that didn't make sense to me at the time could've probably been avoided had I read all the steps ahead of time (who does that though
). One thing that delayed me a bit was my tonneau cover. I had to remove the rails for the cover to fit the molle panels properly. This is in no way a criticism on the panels or the installation. I just wanted to note that so people know what to expect when they do this installation. I will say that it's entirely possible that other covers would fit just fine while installing the molle panels.
Now for the install itself, the process was really straightforward and the panels anchor down to the bed rail and some of the OEM screws. The front of the panels, closest to the cab, anchor to the OEM anchor point and the back of the panels anchor to the screws at various points in the bed. The provided screws and spaces account for the extra distance between the bed and the molle panels so that was very nice. My one SMALL complaint was that there were no washers included. Maybe I'm a little paranoid, but I think I'll go back and add a washer to the points where the molle panels anchor to the bed. Other than that, the install was super easy!
I'll have to put the panels to the test on one of my next trips but as far as the install, it was a breeze! As I said at the beginning they look great and they feel really sturdy. I'm looking forward to the arrival of the front molle panel and the tailgate bed pad. I'll keep everyone posted!
