A brand-new bed mat can look great on day one. But what about after months of hauling?

I’m curious how different mats are holding up against heavy cargo, dirt, water, and everyday abuse.

Does yours:

• Stay firmly in place?
• Keep cargo from sliding around?
• Protect the bed from scratches and dents?
• Still clean up easily after getting dirty?

Or have you noticed cracking, curling edges, slipping, or wear over time?

For those who’ve had a 2024–2026 Tacoma bed mat for a while — what did you buy, how long have you had it?

I've got the Toyota OEM bed mat. Nice, heavy rubber that stays put , lays absolutely flat, and keeps things from sliding around.

Same here. Nothing slides around back there.

I've had multiple trucks with Toyota OEM bed mats and they are great. Super thick and heavy and nothing slips around. I don't try to keep it perfect because it is a truck and I use it to haul stuff. But it would probably clean up and look like new if I cared to do that.

I have the rough country mat and it is heavy and thick. No issues.

I originally purchased Lasfit bed mat. It was very thin and too lightweight for me. Several times in high winds almost had it blow out the bed on to the highway. One time had to fold it up and throw in the car of my truck as I almost lost it in the highway.

Went with OEM mat and couldn’t be happier. Thicker more durable and more importantly stays put.

Seems like any mat that doesn’t blow out on the highway is a good upgrade. I trimmed an old Ram 1500 mat that I had laying around to fit in my Tacoma. Works perfect to keep heavy items from banging around the plastic bed.
