Wheel arc liner / carpet, mudflap bolt

Hi,

Just got rust treatment on the Tacoma the person remove the whel arc liner and the mudflap, unfortunately he didn’t remember when he put everything back and the two sides were différents.

I try to figured out what is the correct layout.

Here's mine. There are only 2 with the Phillips center. They are in the front lower position in the driver and passenger sides. All the others have blank centers. I don't think it really matters as long as the screws have the same thread and hex head size (other than aesthetics) .

All mine were hex head with captured washers, no Phillips head

I have both with and without plastic washer.

What I discover today when taking off the put flap….he cut the liner behind the mudflap instead of just remove them…. Very angry

Some people shouldn’t be allowed access to cutting tools.

It was just 3 cheap plastic clips to remove….

Now my liner is not strong behind the mudflap instead flap…. I cannot imagine next winter with the snow… ice everything

Is that butcher going to buy you new liners? Tell him that you know me and I’m not happy with his workmanship.

I would think that you'll have to replace the liner that he cut. I'm assuming that you didn't get the rustproofing done at the dealer. Was that a shop that does rustproofing? He should make it right if he has any integrity. Threaten to give his shop negative reviews on Google. Document everything. Get a quote from your local Toyota dealership for fixing that and present that to him. You probably don't want to get the same shop to attempt a repair.

If you have to do it yourself, try using chatgpt. I've found it very helpful digging up information on repair procedures (not on my Tacoma though). Feed it as much information and pictures as you can.
