I discovered this morning when removing my mudflap that the guy who did my rustreatment cut the felt liner instead of taking off the clips…

If anyone has a solution to fix it.

I don’t want to buy two new felt because of the price it cost…

The cut I behind the mudflap

I live in the rust belt so I am concern by all water and salt that can go there and rust the lower parts of my fender,

I live in the same province as you, I'm more then sure that will be fine, on a side note.. Do you want to buy a set of Rokblokz mudflaps for your truck to cover them? 😂

[my concern is about everything (mud, salt water) that are going to go in the fender because of this cut. The purpose is to have nothing going there

So my idea to fix it instead of spending money in new liner is to:
- back of the liner : patch with some strong waterproof fabric + PU adhesive
- bond the cut of the two liner together with the PU
- front : second patch, same as the first

And maybe sew everything together for more strength.

What to you think
