Hey guys,
I picked up an alucab for my 2024 Tacoma off-road premium.
I wired in the 3rd brake light to the left hand side tail light. It operates great when I brake, but when I signal left the rear brake light also flashes. From the looks of it I need to tap a wire before the turn signal signal goes out. Does anyone know a better location to tap into?
I looked at using the trailer wiring but ran into the same issue.
Thanks!
Pfa

Were you able to come up with a solution?

I Ordered this and will update if it works. Hope it is that easy!
Not sure where to install this as it needs a signal from each turn signal (left [white wire] and right [different color] - to the 2 yellow wires on the logic module - one each). I believe the logic is if it only gets a signal from one it does not send the signal on to the 3rd brake light (Green wire on the logic module). If it gets a signal from both it sends it to the green wire up to the 3rd brake light.

UPDATE - Yes it works if you run a wire from the right brake light (white wire with blue strip) to a Yellow wire on the Brake Logic Module. The the left brake light signal (White wire) to the other yellow wire on the Logic Module. Then the Green wire to the new 3rd brake light. Left, & right blinker work. Hazard lights ALL will flash. Brake and ALL will be on steady.

I had trouble with this on the 3rd brake light for my Softopper. This logic device does appear to be a cheaper solution than I found, but still requires you tap into BOTH taillights. I ended up using this harness from GG Offroad so that I didn't have to break any wire insulation. It also had the advantage of carrying the bed white light signal in the same cable. I used this to add an overhead LED strip on the topper rail.
