For context: I've daily driven and wheeled a 3rd gen taco since 2016 or so. My personal daily is still a Magnuson Supercharged 2021 TRD Pro until a 4G pro shows up ;)

2024 Tacoma Thoughts after a 2,000 mile road trip in our 4G. R6__7379

Tacoma 4G 2,000 mile road trip update: Stock for stock, the new turbo 4 and 8 speed is way more enjoyable to drive than the previous V6. Always feels like it's in the right gear, more passing power, and climbs great in the mountains. Similar mods, and we are getting on average 3-4 more MPG over our 3rd gen. 285/70/17s don't seem to phase the truck at all.

Technology package is good on our Sport. The huge NAV screen is awesome when looking at maps on Android Auto. The headlight alignment dial on the dash is clutch for different loads in the bed or on the hitch, awesome feature. Seats are super comfortable. Rear springs are almost too soft, will be excited to see aftermarket options. Dash menus are frustrating to navigate, but the gauge customization is nice. Many driver assistance features you shut off turn themselves back on on the next key cycle. I miss the cruise control stalk. There is a rear seat warning that beeps when you lock the truck if it senses any weight back there. Typical new car technology things that you can luckily turn off with a scan tool.

Haven't wheeled it yet, but will let you know as soon as we do.

Oh yeah, look for us to drop some 4G parts soon. Many of which you can spot in this photo

Nice feedback. Can you tell us which trim upgrades you have?

Are those rock sliders? My 4G has not arrived yet, but I was able to get it without any of those worthless predator side steps and was planning to install some rock sliders that function as a step for my wife/kid. If those are functional rock sliders, those steps look great.
