Materials (all from Home Depot)
3 × Simpson Strong-Tie A66 brackets (about $5 each)
M6 × 1.0 bolts (for truck mounting points)
M8 × 1.25 bolts (for compressor base, short length ~16mm)
Washers and lock nuts as needed
1. Prepare the Brackets
Take the Simpson A66 brackets and trim them where needed with a cutoff wheel.
Drill new holes to line up with the ARB compressor base plate.
Keep the off-cut piece — you’ll reuse it to mount the manifold later.
2. Build the Mounting Base
Use two A66 brackets to bolt into the Tacoma’s existing M6 mounting points near the fuse box.
These create the vertical “legs” of the mount.
The third A66 on side of fuse box as a support rail. The compressor wiggled a little with only 2 brackets so i added a 3rd from the other side
3. Attach the ARB Compressor
Bolt the ARB compressor’s factory mount plate directly to your bracket setup with M8 bolts. I had to drill a whole on the arb mount plate.
4. Mount the Manifold
Reuse the cutoff scrap from one of the A66 brackets.
Drill it to accept the manifold bolts.
Mount it to the bracket assembly next to the compressor for a clean, accessible location.
Manifold is tucked neatly above.
No welding or custom fab needed — just cutting, drilling, and bolting.
