Had to get 1 cubic yard of garden soil. Decided (perhaps foolishly) to do it in one trip (like a man! Goddam it!).

It was about 10km on the back roads from the landscape yard to my house. The truck did it. The suspension hit the bumpers only a few times on a street with a slight undulation. As expected, the engine and trans had no problem hauling the weight (it was surprisingly peppy still), and the ‘sport’ suspension handled it better than I thought it would.

This is way over the load rating. Depending on which chart I read, this much dirt is somewhere between 1500 and 2000 lbs. I had my wife and 6yr old daughter with me as well.

Note: I have 33” E-rated tires. If I had stock tires, I wouldn’t have even attempted it.

I really wouldn’t recommend doing this, but hey, I guess it worked.

Pics show the suspension drop and then the load. My back alley has a slight slope to it as well.

I did the exact same thing a few weeks ago with top soil. No issues and yes, the truck looked the same and handles just as well. I never considered taking pictures and posting it. Wish I had.

A little less than a yard, compost/topsoil mix. You could feel the weight but she handled it without complaint.

The parking lot lines reflecting on your truck look like some interesting pin stripes.
