Hey Tacoma owners!

First off, a huge shoutout to everyone who’s supported Muslogy—your love for our products keeps us inspired! ?

So, here’s the deal: One of our awesome 2024 Tacoma owners reached out with a killer idea—make the current cargo net bigger. We’re totally into it, but before we move forward, we need YOUR input.

The original lower mounting points are positioned more toward the center, so we're thinking of using the two points shown in the picture for securing it instead. Do you guys think that would work? Drop your thoughts in the comments—we’re all ears!

Your feedback is what drives us (pun intended ?), so don’t miss this chance to help shape what we create next. Let’s make it happen! ?✨

Those two points can be removed and replaced with screws for mounting, right?
Those are T50 bed bolts, so would assume something to go underneath like a washer with attachment point. and or for trucks with either storage compartments on both sides replace one of those bolts.

I agree, I think the further out (closer to the bed sides) the better. I would also make the mesh wider so it covers the entire bed opening and does a better job of keeping stuff inside the bad! Thank you for always trying to improve our options!

Those seem like they would have a torque spec when reinstalling. Would you be able to get more space with a ‘V’ shaped net or a support bar that connects to the bottom anchors in the middle while connecting further out to a wider net?

No, this is a bad idea.

Bed bolts are Torque To Yield AKA stretch bolts. Once removed, they need to be trashed and replaced with new bolts. Reusing them WILL cause them to loosen over time and in this case it will cause bed rattles.

these bed bolts i'm assuming here are torqued down and stretch
, so removing them would require replacing them, just a guess.

If you removed the current hook fasteners, could they be secured down by the bed bolts? Is the hole diameter in the fastener big enough. If they are, seems like a cheap way to get the cargo net closer to the wall of the bed.

I am currently using my old 5th Gen 4Runner net in my Tacoma.
I still utilize the bed hooks. And I am currently not experiencing any loss of cargo room.
Only thing I struggled with is mounting the two top points.
to solve that used two magnets with carabiners.
So, maybe if you model yours after the 5th Gen 4Runner you can achieve what you are going for and won’t have to mess with the T55 bolts.

That sounds good. I will bring it to my team. If there is anything new, will update here!

May I ask which brand this cargo net is from? If you don't mind, could you please share the link with me?

This is the OEM net, hitch it to the top tie downs and used some cheap carabineers on the lower. Just sell yours with some black aluminum carabineers. Not sure what else would be needed on this.
