We’ve seen a lot of truck owners here mention how tough it is to keep seats clean when dogs come along for the ride. Muddy paws, claws, and long trips can really do a number on the interior.


Some people go with crates, others with blankets or hammock covers. From our side, we recently worked on a truck-specific dog seat cover—waterproof, hammock-style, with storage pockets—just one of many options out there for keeping pups comfortable and seats protected.

I keep it my seats and the inside of my truck safe from the dogs by keeping them in the bed of the truck. I spent over $5000 to do so, and I'm sure it's a lot more than your seat covers, but it's priceless when it comes to cleaning.
I also keep the inside of my truck safe by using the TRUMGETA sunshades that I won in your summertime beat the heat drawing, and I must say they are awesome. The sunshades are well made easy to install and are very functional.

I Have 2 pitbulls, my big boy is 180 lbs, my other family member is a 9 week old pup, both ride in truck, behave well , the big boy ha huge “ jowels and slings drool all over lol……he is a very effective security measure most people will not approach my truck when he is in it…as. Far as protective measures i currently use somthing that ressembles a cover from amazon, dont know brand but my seats are protcted…if you want send me a cover ill try it and reveiw it….best way to see if products are worth it is to send some out to members..

Just picked up my truck yesterday and this was my first duty. We have the same cover in our Subaru and it’s great. The IsoDynamic Seats don’t leave much room since this cover has a semi-rigid bottom but it works.

I got Canvasback cover for back seat, custom fit for Tacoma.

That’s a serious setup for the pups — sounds like they’ve got the best spot in the bed and your interior stays spotless. Definitely worth the investment if it gives you peace of mind. And really cool to hear you’re enjoying the TRUMGETA sunshades! Glad they’ve been working out for you.

Good to know — having a cover that fits the back seat really makes things easier when dogs are riding along. Always interesting to see the different ways people set up their trucks to keep the interior protected.

I use a generic Amazon seat hammock that I also used in my third gen. Waterproof and works great, and I can remove it easily. This photo is from third gen but it fits 4th fine too.
