Hey Taco Family,

I need your help. I purchased an OEM Trailhunter front grille and I’m planning to go OEM with the light bar as well. Right now I found the OEM light bar, but it doesn’t come with the harness. Does anyone know the part number for the harness? I’m running it on my Auxbeam 8-gang switch.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I’ve linked some pictures of the light and the female connection point to the post.

Thanks!

Interested in the same info. I've read other places that the OEM light is the most difficult to install, which is why I'm now looking aftermarket. Would love to hear a solution if one exists though, so I'm a big fan of the OEM+ look.

I replaced my Grille a few a months ago too and in the process of ordering it from my local Toyota dealer I did ask that same question. I was told that the light bar harness is actually integrated into the entire wiring loom for the engine bay from factory for the Trialhunter and would be very expensive. Since I had no reason not to believe them I ordered a Diode Dynamic light bar instead. It worked out perfectly. Hope this helps

Dunno what the OEM light bar costs, but I would imagine it's comparable if not more than a reputable aftermarket that would by far outperform it and would be easier to install.

I'm more than happy with my Heretic 20".

It was price at $200. Way cheaper than the Heretic.

Looking around this forum for information on doing this on a 4Runner. I bought my OEM light bar from those same people on eBay to install in the Trailhunter grill on my 4Runner. Or more accurately...Try to install LOL.

I believe it's the same light as the Tacoma, just a different mount. It has the same connector on the back. Here's what the connections look like between it and the switch, there's an equal amount of wiring going up to the harness on the passenger side of the engine bay too.

The Tundra guys got lucky that there's a spot they can drill a hole in the factory light and bypass the CANBus shenanigans, but after taking my light bar apart, I'm not really seeing a way that I'm going to be able to make it happen. There's an enormous amount of wiring inside it, a couple of pieces of kit wired in that I have no idea what they do, and what appears to be a whole ass computer. It's an absurdly complicated piece of equipment, for it just being a light bar.

I don't have high hopes, and will likely be doing aftermarket soon LOL

Thought I'd share what I've learned so far. Good luck on your journey!
