After seeing the ARB ascent canopy at Sema, I sold my smart cap as ARB had projections of having things available in the United States over the winter. ARB pushed the availability until spring/summer 26. I ordered the stated “proper fit“ for my 2025 Tacoma ascent canopy according to arb.com. I received it this week and installed it yesterday, only to find it sticking out past the shell about 13 inches when I go back and review every video or image of the ARB canopy, the base rack appears to be a five crossbar, not six as received. The other option is to have the extra 13 inches protruding over the front of the shell, but what I don’t know now is will the front rack be too long.

What I find disturbing about this is it every image or video they show, appears to be a five crossbar in the back and not a six, so why would they sell a six. There is no long bed canopy for the 4th gen or it would be perfect for that application. I’ll keep everything updated to what I find out from ARB.

Double cab shows 61x46 and the Ascent Canopy shows the same length. Based off my research, those two length don’t work together.

Perhaps this is useful. In Europe now and ARB’s site here lists Base Rack products as such:
1. “Suitable for short Canopy” 1545mm x 1285 (60.8x50.6”) Part #1770070.
2. “Suitable for narrow Canopy” 1835mm x 1155mm (72.2x45.5”) #1770080.
3. “Suitable for wide canopy” 1835mm x 1285mm (72.2x50.6”) #1770030.

It lists no specific racks for ARB’s however. Might be useful if yours has a part number on it or on the invoice. Good luck.

Thanks for looking. I have done the same. The one listed as appropriate is 61 long x 46 wide. The width is not a problem, and could be wider, it's the length which I believe needs to be in the 50" range. I called ARB this morning and was asked to send an email to the tech email. I'll update as I can.
