Do you guys think a 285/75/17 would fit without taking off the crash pad? It’s a 33.9” tire. I am going to 17s to save weight and try a different size in a C load tire. I’m running E load 275/70/18 (33.43”) and there’s very little room left. Wondering if anyone has tried 285/75/17.
Mine did this for the first time tonight with the heater / upper vents (I’m at 7k miles). It also seems like the airflow is restricted. I do not want my dash ripped apart. If it’s intermittent I’ll live with it. How annoying. Anyone have an update on this issue?
Agree 1,000%. I’m changing to super light 17” RRW wheels for this reason. Despite my truck approaching 5400 pounds it still rides hard with E loads. I was surprised with how hard they ride and also how nobody else seems to complain about it (I must be sensitive to it).
The conundrum I’m in...
My 33.43” Falken AT4Ws are great except too hard riding (E load). Thinking to switch to C, but really surprised yours look as big as they do. It’s harder though to fill up the TH wheel wells.
It’s a fair question whether a C load is any more durable than an SL. I think it probably is even if just for the deeper tread but I really don’t know for sure. On fitment of the Toyo, I’m running 33.43” and it’s pretty damn close, so I’m not entirely sure. I’ll take some measurements today -...
Texas has garbage roads. But no snow or ice. I want a large tire that’s not an E load. I may get 17” wheels, drop weight by 10-15 pounds on the wheels alone, and get the Toyo open country 285/75/17 C loads (33.9”) **if** they will fit without me taking off the crash bar. Not sure if it’ll...
Thanks dude. I’m going to run 2 sets of wheels / tires. I’ll post pictures once I have it sorted out. My wife is asking me why tf I need so many wheels and tires ?
Loved the lightness of them. But I had 2 issues. One, they were in no way less bumpy or firm than the Falkens. As far as I can tell, an E load is an E load is an E load (not the fault of the tire). Second, they looked way too tame / grandpa style. But otherwise they were fine. If you want...
The SL is perfect for you. And remember it still has a pretty deep tread of 14/32 and is a 51.4 pound tire. It’s not some weak street tire. It will be more than plenty.
I’ll be happy when I find a C load that is at least the same size of my current tire and fits on a light 17” wheel with...
